The Moroccan Company of Plaster and Coating (CMPE) is the national leader in plaster-based construction systems. For over seventy years, CMPE has been the leading national producer and exporter of the Kingdom to markets in Europe (Spain, Portugal, Denmark), Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria), and Asia (Japan).
Since its establishment in 1974, CMPE has continually expanded with the enlargement of its factories in Safi, innovated by launching new products such as single-layer plaster mortars, and invested in acquiring modern technology equipment that enables its staff to increase production capacity while maintaining the same quality standards.
This position is the result of ongoing efforts over several years to expand the production units of its Safi plant, modernize its equipment, develop new technologies, and launch increasingly high-performance products such as single-layer plaster mortars.
The Safi facilities include two gypsum crushing units, six plaster production lines, and two mortar mixing units. Additionally, CMPE has a commercial agency in Casablanca dedicated to KNAUF imported products.
The company's main activities are as follows:
Gypsum: A natural product extracted from the quarries in the Safi region, known worldwide for the purity of its rock (an average of 94%); CMPE manages to produce over 1,752,000 tons of gypsum annually (screened, crushed, or in rock form).
Plaster: Since the introduction of the first industrial plaster in the Moroccan market in 1950, CMPE has successfully maintained and developed its position as a leader through its flagship brands "Gazelle" and "Nejma," which have gained recognition beyond the Kingdom and have successfully penetrated the markets of West and Central African countries. Current production reaches 825,000 tons per year.
Plaster Mortars: The plaster mortars from CMPE have been designed in collaboration with KNAUF, the world leader in plaster-based products, to meet the expectations of construction professionals in terms of cost and deadlines, whether produced mechanically or manually.
Ceiling Tiles: Thanks to its diverse range of designs, the modular false ceiling tiles produced by CMPE have seen strong demand in recent years due to their superior quality, which allows them to capture significant market share locally.
Trading in Mortar Accessories: To stay close to plaster professionals and support them in their projects, CMPE offers a wide and diverse range of products to meet their needs.
